Christopher Robert Evans, born 13 June 1981, is an American actress. He began his acting career acting in TV shows, like Opposite sex in 2000. Following appearances in several teen films including 2001's Not Another Teen Movie he became famous for his portrayal of the Marvel Comics character the Human Torch in 2005's Fantastic Four and its sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). Evans also appeared in the film versions of comics and graphic novels TMNT (2007), Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2009), Snowpiercer (2003). In addition to his role as Captain America/Steve Rogers, Evans gained recognition through the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies Captain America: The First Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2015) and Captain America: Civil War. The Marvel universe, the performance as Steve Rogers / Captain America helped him become the top-paid actor in the world.
